Caring for your
Christmas tree:
When
you get home:
- When a tree is cut, sap closes the trunk, much like a cut
flower, therefore a new cut is needed so that the tree can
drink water. Make a fresh 1" cut and place the tree
immediately into water.
- Never let the
water level go below the stump, or a new cut will be
necessary! Watch the water level carefully
for the first 24-48 hours, as this is when the tree will
drink the most water.
-Make sure your tree is not by a heat source, such as a
heating vent or TV, as this can dry out the tree needles.
-Ensure all lights are in good working order, with no
frayed cords. ALWAYS
turn Christmas tree
lights off when you're not in the room. NEVER
use candles or any
other flame near a Christmas tree.
